May 1: Praise and Thanksgiving
Praise and thank God for the Month for April, pray that the Resurrection power
of the risen Lord will sustain the Church (I Peter 1:3)
May 2: Global Day of Prayer
Prayer for a successful mobilization of the Church throughout the length and
breath of Liberia for participation in the global Day of prayer from 25th May –
3rd June (Neh. 2:17-18)
May 3: ILI Liberia national Conference
Pray for the selection process of 35 leaders of leaders to participate in the
first national conference of ILI in Liberia which will run form 4th – 11th June,
2006 (2 Tim. 2:2)
May 4: Life Challenge Liberia (LCL)
Pray for the strengthening of the LCL Muslim evangelization seminars and the
monthly meetings for pastors and Church leaders (I Cor. 15:58)

May 5: Fraternities in Liberia
Pray against the rise of secret fraternities and societies among leaders of the
nation (Exo. 23:32)
May 6: Fraternities Cont’d
Let us continue to use the Word of God, to nullify plans by some individuals to
initiate emerging leaders (Deut. 18:10-13)
May 7: Aggressive Evangelism
Pray for aggressive evangelism, discipleship and leadership empowerment
throughout Liberia (Matt. 9:35-38)
May 8: Peace and Unity
Pray for peace, unity and teamwork among the body of believers in Liberia (Phil.
2:1-4)
May 9: A New Development Agenda
Pray for a new progressive development agenda that will revive the nation’s
communication system, upgrade the transport system and improve the nation only
international airport and seaport (Isa. 60:1-3)

May 10: ECOWAS
Praise God for the role and enormous contributions of ECOWAS in the Liberian
peace process; pray for peace and stability within the sub-region (Matt. 5:9)
May 11: Africa Mercy Ships
Pray for the newly Africa Mercy Ships which is about to start services to Africa
very soon; pray that its growth and expansion of the seed faith planted by the
Mercy Ships M/V Anastasis will continue (I Cor. 3:6).
May 12: Mercy Ships
Praise God for Mercy Ships successful mission in Liberia; Pray for God’s grace
and covering upon the entire crew of 400 persons as they sail to another part of
world to proclaiming hope and healing (Matt. 5:7).
May 13: National Security
Pray for a dependable security network that will ensure that the rights and
freedom of citizen and foreign national are protected under the Law (Ps. 127:1)
May 14: National Unification
Pray for the healing of wounds sustained during the 14 years of civil strife in
Liberia; Pray for genuine peace, national unification; pray and reconciliation
for the rule of Laws (II Cor. 5:18).

May 15:
Praise God for the fruitful result of the
Mercy Ships Alpha Course in Monrovia; pray that the seed of this life-changing
ministry will grow and spread throughout Liberia (Rom. 1:16)
May 16: Old-Age Ministry
Thank God for the just-ended workshop for the aged. Pray for God’s guidance and
support for this Ministry; Pray for an organized ministry to meet their needs
and that people will be touched to share food, clothes, etc with the elderly (Prov.
22:9)
May 17: Social Justice
Pray for social Justice and respect for the rule of law. Pray for improvement in
the judicial system of the nation (Amos 5:24)
May 18: Economic Recovery
Pray for a new development agenda that will focus on policies and plans intended
to develop the Liberian economy with Agriculture and export as paramount (Jere.
29:11-12)
May 19: LATI
Pray that this organization will place strong emphasis on biblical (theological)
education within the nation’s seminaries; pray that seminaries and bible schools
that are part of this organization will make Biblical education a strong
priority in the quest to equip seminary students (2 Tim. 3:16).

May 20: Grand Gedeh District Conf.
Pray for the Grand Gedeh District Conference: for human resource development,
effective evangelization and Church planting in gospel destitute areas of the
district. Pray for the new District Superintendent (Acts 1:8)
May 21: Cape Palmas District Conference
Pray for the Cape Palmas district Conference: for resource mobilization,
effective evangelization, Church planting in gospel destitute areas of the
district. Pray for the district leadership (Mark 16:20)
May 22: National Revival
Pray for a nationwide revival and a time of refreshing for Liberia; A God-sent
revival that will open the eyes of the blind, heal the sick and bring freedom
for the oppressed (Habakkuk. 3:2).
May 23: GBGM
Pray for the Church development Unit of The GBGM: that through its Mission Trust
Fund, Churches of the United Methodist Communion will experience growth and
development (Col. 1:9-10).
May 24: Good Governance
Pray against corruption and gross mismanagement of public funds. Pray for proper
accountability and new economic policies that account for good governance (Heb.
4:16).
May 25: The President of Liberia
Pray for President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for both physical and spiritual
guidance as she leads the people of Liberia (Ps. 23:1-3)

May 26: Children & /Teens
Pray for restored hope for children in the following difficult circumstances:
child soldier, street kids, abandoned children, children living with AIDS,
orphans, etc.; pray against teen-age pregnancy and child prostitution (Luke
9:38-42).
May 27: UMC Council of Bishops
Pray for Methodist Council of bishops as they meet regularly to review United
Methodist Missions around the world and to decide on matters relative to the
over all growth of the global Church (I Cor. 9:8).
May 28: WACC
Pray for greater partnership among the Annual Conferences of the WACC; pray that
partner Churches will be mobilized toward evangelism, mission and discipleship
(Matt. 28:19-20).
May 29: True & Reconciliation Commission (TRC)
Pray for the True & Reconciliation Commission: that through the Commission’s
initiative (programs), Liberians will be reconciled to one another for lasting
peace and stability (Eph. 4:31-32)
May 30: LAC/UMC
Pray for the practice of honest stewardship in a Christ-centered Church
throughout the Conference (Luke 19:17)
May 31: Prayer for the Month of June
Pray for the month of June: that the 30 Days will witness national
reconciliation, peace building, and conflict resolution (Ps. 85:8).
