Portraits of Mission ~~ Portraits of Christ

In these stories, you will read about many aspects of “Mission” being lived throughout the NC Annual Conference, in local churches and cooperative ministries, in collective ministry of churches across the Conference, and by individuals who simply could no longer deny God’s call on their life.

Some of the outreach is physical.  All of it is spiritual.  Some deals in the hard realities of food, clothing, and medical care.  All of it resides in the love of Christ.  Much of the story of outreach takes place right next door.  Some in the far reaches of our world.  Some of the story is incredibly dramatic.  All is situated in the movement of God’s Spirit in lives of the people called Methodists.

It is all Mission Outreach, seeking to follow Jesus, to be with Jesus, and to share the love of Jesus in the world.  Evangelical at its core, this story of discipleship and outreach is a story of worshipping Jesus, the one who will transform the world as he transforms individual lives.  Loving, being with, making disciples, touching the face of Christ.  Such is the mission story of the North Carolina Annual Conference.
