NHN Ministry

Home Up

No Hungry Neighbors is an invitational ministry with a goal of raising awareness of our congregations to the issue of hungry peoples across the North Carolina Conference and to do something about it!  In this effort, our hope is to raise funds for our regional food banks and the Society of St. Andrew and to engage in hands-on ways to alleviate hunger in our community.

The No Hungry Neighbors ministry is the NC Conference ministry to support the Food Banks of North Carolina, the Second Harvest Food Bank in Fayetteville, the Food Bank of Albemarle in Elizabeth City, and the Society of St. Andrew (SOSA).

The No Hungry Neighbors initiative is more than raising funds.  It is an invitational ministry and holistic effort at raising awareness of hunger here in our own state, even in our own neighborhoods, about encouraging congregations to become “hands on” participants in feeding the hungry, about connecting local communities to food bank and SOSA resource, and about providing funds for our regional food banks and Society of Saint Andrew (SOSA) as they work with and behalf of all of us in meeting this great need.
