Home Up Scars Beans Home Comings The Eucharist

Ministry and programs and campaigns are wonderful ... however, I think that sometimes we lose the faces of those who are the focus of our concern, especially if "they" are the ones whom we seldom see, whom we rarely interact with.  The next few stories offer a face of the hungry.  They have broken my heart and blessed my life.  I hope they do the same for you.

"We who are hungry come from a myriad of circumstances.  Sometimes our hunger stems from systemic issues, sometimes it is the result of poor personal choices, and sometimes it seems our hunger reigns out of society's failure to see ... to see the world as it is ... to see the world as God intends it to be ... to see the 'possibilities that are.'  Please hear me as you read this.  Please see my face as I seek to see yours."
