United Methodist Volunteers in Mission Creating hands-on adventures in faith and service for the cause of Christ. UMVIM creates mission opportunities through which followers of Jesus Christ share their gifts in ministry by:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An ecumenical ministry in a multicultural community which is designed to help local churches meet emergency needs, literacy tutoring for children and adults, home repairs and building new homes, year round mission work teams. Salvages millions of pounds of unmarketable potatoes and other produce and distributes the food to hungry people nationwide.
