UMVIM YOUNG ADULT PROGRAM

ATLANTA  -The Southeastern Jurisdiction of United Methodist Volunteers In Mission (UMVIM) will offers its Young Adult in Mission (YAM) program, with the purpose of inspiring tomorrow's leaders to develop a mission-oriented lifestyle.

"Everyone has the opportunity to be involved in missions" said Rev. Nick Elliott, executive director of UMVIM.  "We are trying to provide an avenue of service for our busiest demographic; young adults between at the ages of 18 and 30."

In this ministry, young adults can become mission interns or lead young adult teams. Mission interns serve individually for six weeks and young adult team leaders organize teams of young adults to serve on a project for a shorter period of time.  For additional information on the YAM program or to request a speaker, contact the UMVIM office at 404-377-7424.

UMVIM empowers everyday Christians to serve on the front lines of human need through thousands of service opportunities worldwide.  UMVIM is guided by I John 3:18, "Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action."
